Our guest in this episode is Patrick Tyrrell, comedian and entrepeneur.  He is from Rochester NY and joined the Marine Corps in 1993. He was stationed in Hawaii from 1996 until 1999 where he met his Australian wife. Along with his business partner Jose Dynamite, they run Comedy U which provides some of the best comedy that the islands have to offer. He is also a lead organizer for St. Baldrick’s Foundation, and they’re in the 9th year of raising money for pediatric cancer research.

Local comedians have, for years, been practicing their craft and decided that now they are ready to bring great shows that will have people laughing and raving about the shows long after they’re over. They want to bring the comedians only through invitation to ensure the quality of comedy experience. They were included on the Honolulu Magazine Best Comedy Show 2017 and is a veteran run organization. Comedy U is also proud to announce it’s continuing to bring in top talent from all over the world.

 
Who is Patrick Tyrrell?

Patrick is from Rochester NY and joined the Marine Corps in 1993. He was stationed in Hawaii from 1996 until 1999 where he met his Australian wife while she was on school holiday from teaching. They traveled with the Marines a bit and ended back in the island with their 2 kids in 2006. Their daughter was diagnosed with cancer in 2009 and passed away in 2014. He started performing comedy in 2012 to help cope and started his own show at Anna O’Brien’s with his business partner Jose Dynamite in 2014. Since then they have been providing some of the best comedy that the islands have to offer. He is also a lead organizer for St. Baldrick’s Foundation. They are in their 9th year of raising money for pediatric cancer research.
