Today we want to talk to you about PCSing to Hawaii. There are a few things that you should know beforehand if you’re planning on making the move.
When you arrive on the island report to your unit the day you arrive and bring with you the following items:

  • Original orders
  • Airline receipts
  • Vehicle processing center receipts
  • Marriage and birth certificates

“Our team is well educated in the military home buying process.”

You should also have your reservations made for lodging well in advance. If the lodges are booked, pick up a letter of non-availability and stay at other approved lodgings. If you haven’t already figured out if you will be staying in base housing, renting off-base, or buying a home, visit the housing office immediately after reporting to your unit.
Being prior military myself, I’ve made sure our team is well educated on the military home buying process. We have a great relationship with the No. 1 VA lender in Hawaii in our opinion. They can reach out to you before you even arrive here in Hawaii. Check them out here.
